A Career Built Around Possibility.
Kofi Amoa-Abban's story is rooted in a simple conviction: meaningful progress begins when people are willing to work, learn and build. His journey from practical experience in Ghana's oil and gas industry to the establishment of a wider group of businesses reflects a commitment to enterprise, local capability and long-term value creation.
Before building Rigworld, Kofi gained direct experience in offshore drilling operations. That exposure gave him an understanding of both the scale of Ghana's emerging energy opportunity and the gaps that local businesses could help address. In 2011, he established Rigworld in Accra and began building capabilities around the needs of a developing industry.
The enterprises associated with Kofi Amoa-Abban have developed around practical industry requirements — from workforce and training solutions to engineering, logistics and energy-related services. The common objective is to combine local knowledge, capable people and international standards to deliver lasting value.
Leadership Philosophy
African Capability. Global Standards.
Kofi believes that Africa's economic future will be shaped by businesses that combine local understanding with world-class execution. His leadership philosophy places emphasis on discipline, continuous learning, collaboration and the responsibility to develop others.
